Cheesesteak with SPG

Cheesesteak with SPG

This Cheesesteak with SPG takes thinly sliced beef, sweet peppers, and onions and turns them into a classic, flavor-packed sandwich. Everything comes together on a hot griddle, seasoned generously with Kosmos Q SPG and finished with melted provolone cheese.

Loaded into soft Ambrosia rolls with a little mayonnaise, every bite delivers juicy beef, tender vegetables, and plenty of cheesy goodness.

It's simple to make, doesn't require many ingredients, and is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, backyard cookout, or whenever you're craving a seriously good cheesesteak. Let's get to it!

You Will Need

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef

  • 1–2 Tbsp Kosmos Q SPG

  • 1 large green bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 large yellow onion, sliced

  • 8 slices provolone cheese

  • 4 Ambrosia rolls

  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise

The Prep

Start by slicing the green bell pepper and yellow onion into thin strips.

Make sure your beef is thinly sliced so it cooks quickly and evenly on the griddle.

Have your provolone cheese, Ambrosia rolls, mayonnaise, and Kosmos Q SPG ready to go.

Once everything is prepped, you're ready to fire up the griddle.

The Griddle Setup

Preheat your griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and spread it evenly across the cooking surface.

Give the griddle a few minutes to heat up before adding your vegetables.

The Vegetables

Add the sliced green bell pepper and yellow onion to the hot griddle.

Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften and begin to develop a little color.

Once they're tender and lightly caramelized, move them to one side of the griddle to make room for the beef.

The Beef

Add the thinly sliced beef to the hot griddle.

Season generously with 1–2 tablespoons of Kosmos Q SPG, making sure the beef is evenly coated.

Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is fully cooked and starts developing a nice crust.

You want those little crispy edges while keeping the beef juicy and flavorful.

The Cheese

Bring the cooked peppers and onions together with the beef and toss everything until evenly combined.

Divide the mixture into four equal piles on the griddle.

Top each pile with 2 slices of provolone cheese.

Let the cheese melt over the beef and vegetables, creating that classic gooey cheesesteak filling.

The Rolls

While the cheese melts, slice the four Ambrosia rolls lengthwise.

Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on the inside of each roll.

If you'd like a little extra texture, you can lightly toast the rolls on the griddle before assembling.

The Assemble

Once the provolone is melted, carefully load each roll with one portion of the cheesy beef, peppers, and onions.

Make sure each sandwich gets plenty of that delicious filling.

The Serve

Serve the cheesesteaks immediately while the beef is hot and the provolone is melted.

Pair them with your favorite fries, chips, or a simple side salad.

The Payoff

Juicy, seasoned beef, sweet caramelized peppers and onions, and plenty of melted provolone, all packed into a soft Ambrosia roll.

The Kosmos Q SPG brings everything together with a simple but delicious seasoning that lets the beef shine.

It's an easy, satisfying sandwich that's perfect for lunch, dinner, or your next backyard griddle session.

Fire up the griddle, load up those rolls, and enjoy this Cheesesteak with SPG!
